St Sidwell's Community Centre

The Sidwell Street Café

At The Sidwell Street Café, we pride ourselves on serving good quality, locally-sourced, nutritious and delicious food that’s also extremely good value for money.  It is run by qualified staff and supported by many dedicated volunteers. When available, we use produce grown in our garden or surplus food donated from local supermarkets. We make all our cakes from scratch and we bake real bread to serve in the café and to sell.

The Sidwell Street Café is more than just a café; it is a community. Every visitor to our café provides crucial support towards our inclusive work experience and training programmes.

For many volunteers and work-placements, working in our cafe helps to boost confidence, as well as providing useful work experience and training. Volunteers are involved in every aspect of the cafe: preparing and cooking food, serving customers, operating the till, practicing their barista skills, and much more.  If, on occasion, the service may be quirky or not be instant, we trust that the warmth and the fact that we are providing training as well as good food will more than compensate.

If you want to find out more about what we do, or or find out more about volunteering.then please feel free to pop in for a chat or to email cafe@stsidwells.org.uk,
