At the heart of the Community Centre on Sidwell Street, you’ll find our Community Cafe….
Our Cafe and the food we serve is affordable, sustainable and most importantly down right delicious!
We’re open Tuesday – Friday from 10am until 3pm, serving tasty dishes such as Zero-Waste bubble and squeak, or homemade beans on Sidwell Street Bakehouse Sourdough (The Sidwell Street Bakehouse – St Sidwell’s Community Centre).
We specialise in transforming donated produce from our greenhouse on site, our friends at Exeter Food Action (Home – Exeter Food Action) and some local supermarkets into nutritious from scratch meals.
We use organic produce when we can from Essential (Essential Trading Cooperative – Ethical Wholesaler of Organic, Vegetarian & Vegan Produce) an ethical wholesale co-operative based in Bristol
We serve the best quality coffee, using beans straight from speciality micro-roaster Crankhouse Coffee (Crankhouse Coffee – Speciality Coffee Roaster – Crankhouse Coffee Ltd)
Everyone is welcome in our space, including well-behaved dogs on leads.
We have an accessible toilet, and provide meaningful volunteer opportunities, enabling people to gain new skills and meet new friends.
We can provide catering for your work meeting, retirement party or wake. Check out our catering offers Catering – St Sidwell’s Community Centre or pop into the Cafe to discuss with one of the Cafe managers.
You can also hire the Cafe space for your event, which we can cater, or you can also hire the kitchen.
