Regular Activities at St Sid’s
St Sidwell’s Community Centre has a wonderful and varied garden, right in the middle of Exeter. The garden is maintained by a team of volunteers, and include our sunken vegetable garden. All the fruit and veg grown is used in our cafe. We use organic and nature friendly techniques in the garden, promoting wildlife and creating a space that can be enjoyed by all in the heart of Exeter.
From mid May 2021 onwards we will be running two gardening sessions per week, on Monday and Thursday 1-3pm. We will resume training sessions in July. Gardening sessions are led by our Garden Manager Julie and will include a range of tasks like seed sowing, weeding, planting, mowing, watering and more. Sessions are open to everyone interested in gardening, we will provide tools, gloves, guidance and refreshments.
Sessions have limited numbers and fill up quickly so if you are interested in joining our volunteer gardeners please phone us on 01392 666222 or email Julie on email@example.com. Thank you!

Gardening and Craft
Alongside our annual Sidwella Day, celebrating Exeter’s patron saint Sidwella as well as all things St Sid’s, we run heritage tours and occasionally other events.
This year our Sidwella Day celebration will be held on Saturday 30th July. Alongside our usual celebration, we will be joined by Devon Voice for Devon-themed talks and music. Full details to follow.

|Sing and Sign: Sing and Sign classes are the fun way to learn Baby Signing. The classes are full of signs, songs, props, instruments and our magic ingredient of music! We hold classes for pre 6 months, 6-14 months and 14+ months. We love to see the babies enjoy early communication with their parents. They then flourish in our small classes as they become confident with a wider vocabulary of signs, which soon develops into lovely, clear speech. The older toddlers enjoy a dance or two in class and we introduce colours, number and phonics. Signing really helps alleviate frustration for both children and parents as well as being lots of run along the way!||Wednesdays 9.45 – 12 noon||For further information please contact Sarah Glover on 07788 445223.|
