St Sidwell's Community Centre

Get involved to help transform 178/179 Sidwell Street

How you can help

There are so many ways you can support us and be part of this project. These are some of our ideas, and we’d be delighted to hear yours. We are grateful for your support in any capacity.

Share your time and skills

There will be plenty of painting, sprucing and cleaning to do alongside many other tasks. Maybe you’re a practical expert and can build our shelving or stud walls, or fit the new loo? Email bakehouse@stsidwells.org.uk to offer your support.

Donate to our crowdfunder

We’ve got big ambitions to expand our Bakehouse, Cookery School and more. Thanks to generous support from The Crown Estate and The Social Enterprise Support fund, we have already raised £8,000 towards our £13,000 fundraising target. We’re looking to the community to help us with the final push and to make this space special. We have some great rewards on offer to say thank you to our wonderful Crowdfunder supporters. Donations of any amount are so appreciated, whether it is five, fifty for five hundred pounds.

Give in other ways

If online giving isn’t your thing, but you’d like to donate financially, you can make cash, cheque or card donations at St Sidwell’s Community Centre, or at our stall at Exeter Farmers Market. We will have raffle tickets for sale and more opportunities coming soon, so keep a look out.

Join us for a fundraising event, or host your own

We have some special events planned including pop-up meals and comedy nights. Watch this space for more info. Perhaps you’d like to organise your own fundraising event or activity and donate your support to the project that way?

Spread the word

Share our campaign with your friends, family and networks. We’re stronger together so please share in your day to day conversations or on social media. It’s free, easy, and it can have a huge impact for us. Tell people about St Sid’s, our Bakehouse and Cookery School, our future plans, and how they can help to transform 178/179 Sidwell Street too.
